Theme Junkie Themes Review: With 4 years in the market, this Premium WordPress Theme company offers flexible, appealing and powerful WordPress themes with a low price collection covering business, video, magazines, bloggers, news, portfolios, galleries and more.

With this Theme Junkie themes review, I want to show all the possibilities that have Theme Junkie as a premium WordPress Theme company.

Theme JunkieΒ is a WordPress premium theme supplier with an appealing, flexible and for all the tastes, collection of themes. You’ve WP themes for business, video, magazines, bloggers, news, portfolios and galleries.

For the purpose of this review, I’ll do it with their Publisher theme. This WordPress theme best suits for online magazines, personal blogs, newspapers, etc.

To test it, I installed locally with a full set of my default plugins, and I was playing with its settings-options for some time.

Want to know why I call it flexible and user-friendly?

Let’s go and continue reading to find out the reasons πŸ™‚

Theme Junkie Themes Review

You know, a picture is worth a thousand words, right?

Therefore I’ve taken screenshots like crazy πŸ˜‰ of the Publisher junkie theme, and you’ll see the “under the hood” of WordPress Theme Junkie themes.

You know, a picture is worth a thousand words, right?

Theme Junkie General Settings

Theme Junkie General Settings

  • Set here the Theme Stylesheet according to your needs
  • Add Logo
  • Favicon (the tiny drawing that appears in the URL browser on the left)
  • Contact Form (if this form satisfies you, you don’t need an additional plugin) and more.

Β Junkie Navigation

  • Exclude pages from the nav-bar, if you want to
  • Display Home link – I display it in my cases
  • Add drop menus
  • Control the Number of dropdown tiers shown
  • Order Pages Links by Ascending/Descending

Layout Settings

Here, you’ve control over Homepage and Single Posts/Pages in different tabs.

On the homepage you can enable featured content (great, if you’ve some post to highlight), controlled by special tags that you must specify. Also you can determine the number of characters to show for post excerpts (default is 180)

Carrousel with total administration in terms of categories and posts.

Enable a 728×90 pixel-ad to your header – useful to insert e.g. Adsense or another Ad Networks.

SEO Options

It’s a very complete tab full of possibilities, namely:

  • Custom title
  • Meta description
  • Meta keywords (I don’t recommend to enable: is devaluated and you tell others your keywords)
  • Home page custom title, meta description, etc.

If you need a SEO basic-floor, these customizations are enough.
If not, I suggest using a free plugin that is a heavy weight for SEO: WordPress SEO by Yoast

Here you’re able to add code to your:

  • Header (helpful when you need to add Javascript or CSS to all pages)
  • Body (good for Google Analytics)
  • At the top of your posts (e.g. ad blocks)
  • At bottom of your posts, before the comments (a subscribe box or an ad, are good examples)

Theme Junkie Documentation

When you need a quick reference related to Installation and Troubleshooting, these tips come handy.

Customization Theme Junkie
Complete customization available in colors, backgrounds, titles, tagline, static front page.

Theme Junkie Widgets

Here you’ve a plethora of different widgets to several purposes: Flickr, Ad 125 x125, Twitter, Videos and so on.

(E.g. here is a screenshot of the widget social profiles with the main social networks)

Junkie Social Widget

I tried for the purpose of this test, the Twitter widget with my accounts, and I aimed to display them on the sidebar or footer, but I got zero – nada.

I don’t know why this is not working. It’s a small thing to research further, if I need later πŸ˜‰

In terms of cons honestly, I’m not seeing any evident that I need to mention in this Theme Junkie review.

I’ve heard that they have a solid support via online forums available for their premium themes, but I didn’t try still by myself, to endorse it to a 100%.

They are offering WordPress high quality themes with affordable prices. Their theme pricing, allows you two options to choose from, for different budgets and goals.

Really, I liked this WordPress Publisher theme in particular, and Theme Junkie themes in general, for their functionality. You can customize lots of things with their advanced control panels.

I’m using one Theme Junkie. Love it! I’m yet to upgrade to premium though.

    Gera says

Lynell which one are you using and which you like most of the premium?

I’m using Theme Junkie on one of my other sms sites! It’s really cool and very easy to understand and use it! I haven’t done any kind of course related to design because Theme Junkie gives us a good way to make our site professional πŸ™‚ It’s always a nice feeling to use Theme Junkie.

    Gera says

Bilal great you’re using them πŸ™‚ Many thanks for your feedback!

Alex says

Please stay away from Theme Junkie. I had purchased the lifetime option for $99. I even sent a mail to Roy the owner to double check. He said as a lifetime member I would receive all future updates. However after one year, I was not able to access the membership area. I have sent multiple requests both in the forum and to Roy. Its been many months since, still have not received access.

    Gera says

Alex, sorry to hear your troubles. I know that they have changed recently their structure of prices, and perhaps this is the issue. Have you tried to use the contact form and also their social accounts? The best of the luck for you!

Mike Hill says

I love Theme Junkie themes but one thing that’s apparent across all of the themes they build is their Twitter Feeds display widget. Even on their own website it no longer works. I can still subscribe to Twitter via the link but the feeds aren’t displaying and I get the following message ” Error: Twitter did not respond. Please wait a few minutes and refresh this page.”

Avnish Gautam says

No doubt all the themes from theme-junkie are really amazing and i am the regular customer of them and i can clearly say no one in the industry is giving high quality and full functionality at these prices.
