I’m here to Help You to Boost Your WordPress Website / Blog

On the blog you’ll find WordPress articles written with a sole purpose: to be helpful, to solve problems and to expand the knowledge about this great CMS that is WordPress.

About me:

I’m Gera, short name for Gerardo in Spanish (my native language) or Gerald for my second language in English.

I live in Uruguay, South America.

My technical background is related to electrical/electronic engineering, and I enjoy all themes linked to computing.

I’ve been online building & managing static HTML websites, even before WordPress exists. But since WordPress arrived, it changed the landscape totally 🙂
Apart from WordPress and those geeky-stuff, I’m a foodie and also I love outdoor sports, burning kcals by running, mountain bike, swimming, kayaking, adventure races when it’s possible.

Also, I like blogging, web design, content marketing, social media and the list can go on.

Did I say that I practiced martial arts? Karate, judo, taekwondo, capoeira, muay thai, kickboxing, and lastly mixed martial arts.

As I enjoy science (my formation is scientific), astronomy and astrophysics are in my mind often. So in the name WPulsar, WP is for WordPress, but also W-Pulsar, for those pulsating stars; a short twinkling name related to WordPress 🙂

About WPulsar:

I decided to start this blog to share my experience about using WordPress.
The hallmark of this blog is WordPress plugin and theme reviews (free and premium), plus WordPress tips, tutorials, etc. Besides you’ll find web hosting reviews, soon.

The idea behind the WP reviews is doing them as an average WordPress user (beginner to advanced), but not as a WP coder. Although I like coding, in the articles the code will be the minimum possible. I’ll add code only when it’s necessary and you can’t do it with a plugin or in another way.

I install plugins and themes to experiment; hence I explore how they work, sometimes well (but not always) because you can end with a broken WP site or with other type of issues. Those reviews are my own experience (success or failure), and my personal opinion will be reflected in the posts. Working with my own & client sites you see the good, the bad and the ugly in terms of plugins, themes and hostings!

If you’ve a plugin and/or theme that you’d like to do a review, please contact me.
Be aware, I cannot be testing WP things all the time, because I’ve a job and other sites to manage 😉 Therefore, if you want I post a review soon after sending me a copy, have in mind that perhaps is possible or not, depending of other stuff I’m doing.

Last but not least, you can follow me in my social networks that are down in the footer and don’t forget subscribing to my newsletter too!

Thanks for coming by and I hope you’ll enjoy this blog.
